First of all, the view from this property is gorgeous! That said, there are a couple of things that cause me to give it a lower rating. For one thing, the statement in the Airbnb description "200ft of private waterfront" is misleading. While it may be true that the side of the property facing the water is 200ft, it is mostly a sheer cliff face and unusable for any practical purposes. There is a trail leading down to the corner of the 30ft or so of accessible waterfront space and a narrow "boardwalk" (no railing) just above water level (it is really generous to refer to it as anything but what it is: a couple of planks attached to the cliffside). There is a float a few feet out that one could moor a boat to but you definitely can't dock a boat to the "planks". The trail is also not for the faint of heart. It is 3-400 feet of extremely steep terrain. Someone has gone to a lot of effort to make the toughest part of the trail safe (well made stone steps and metal railing) but it is still a really difficult task to carry anything back and forth between the cabins and the water. Also not practical for small children or anyone who has trouble getting around. We found it far more convenient to dock our boat at the state park nearby for the week we were there.
